How the show got started :
Caleb Does came about completely by accident. I wanted more content for my own site, rustyscrew.com, and decided to shoot a short documentary about the opening of my friend Rachel’s art show “Finery”. When my original sound guy fell through I got Caleb to help me out, and on a whim asked if he’d want to be in front of the camera interviewing people. Caleb being Caleb, he gleefully said yes and began primping, and everything took off from there. On one level, we do this show simply because it’s fun for us to do. But more than that, we love showing the interesting sides of Austin that only people who live here usually see.”

About Caleb :
Raised overseas, Caleb Farewell didn’t know much about American television and media other than the recorded cassette and video tapes sent over to his remote home cloistered in the sand dunes of Saudi Arabia. Early on his infatuation with talk show hosts like Sally Jesse Raphael, correspondents like Cokie Roberts, VJ’s Kennedy, party coordinator Colin Cowie, programs like Syle Channel’s Fashion BEAT! was forged. He’d spend hours in his room conducting interviews with Jem dolls, posters of beloved teen idols like Corey Haim, David Allen Grier, Brian Benben, and Treat Williams. He was all but destined by divine providence to eventually pull faces in front of a camera while wielding a comedically large microphone. His motives are simple – he just wants people to experience the Austin and the events he gets to go to, even if only in video form. He would like to thank Emmett and S Collective for facilitating this dream and enabling his ridiculousness.

About Emmett :
Born and bred here in Texas, Emmett grew up in Houston where he started making short films in high-school. After that he went to the University of North Texas, spent minimal time studying, and continued working on his own projects. After graduating he moved to Austin and hasn’t looked back
